May fifth

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the defeat of the French army by a small, poorly armed Mexican militia at the Battle of Puebla. The whole country takes the day off for this national holiday.

Imagine! The French getting beaten! If there was a holiday for every time the French army was defeated, nobody would get any work done.

Something of more significant note occurred May 5th, 1865 The Thirteenth Amendment was ratified, abolishing slavery in the U.S.

Why isn't Jessie Jackass, the NAACP, and Black Caucus serving us up Ripple and Chittlin's? I propose to start a movement May 5, Thirteenth Amendment Day. that will over shadow Servesa and Chips day.
